Frances Hardinge

Frances Hardinge is the author of seven acclaimed novels for children and young adults. Her most recent book, The Lie Tree, was shortlisted for the Carnegie Medal, received the Boston Globe/Horn Book Award for Fiction, and was named the Costa Book of the Year. Frances was brought up in a sequence of small, sinister English villages, and went on to study English Language and Literature at Oxford. She lives in London.
