Charlie Jane Anders is the author of All the Birds in the Sky. When she was a teenager, she worked as a monkey-frightener and spent time living in a Buddhist nunnery. She was an editor with io9.com, and she organizes a long-running spoken word reading series called Writers With Drinks that includes science fiction and fantasy authors. Her fiction has appeared in Tor.com, Asimov’s Science Fiction, Wired Magazine, The Magazine of Fantasy & Science Fiction, Strange Horizons, Lightspeed, Uncanny Magazine, McSweeney’s Internet Tendency, Conjunctions, Tin House, and many anthologies. Her novelette “Six Months, Three Days” won a Hugo Award.
